Ayumi Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 4th 2026
Ayumi is designed as a private daily photo journal. The app helps you capture a daily photo, build a streak, review your timeline, and export playback from photos stored on your device.
Ayumi does not require an account, does not provide a social feed, and does not sell user data.
Information Ayumi stores
Ayumi stores the photos you capture in the app, along with local information needed to display your timeline, streaks, trophies, reminders, widgets, and playback settings.
This information is stored locally on your device.
Photos
Photos captured in Ayumi are stored on your device.
Ayumi does not upload your photo history to an Ayumi server. Your photos are used inside the app to show your timeline, calculate streaks, align playback, and create exports you choose to save or share.
Camera access
Ayumi asks for camera access so you can take daily photos inside the app.
Camera access is used for capture, face positioning, face and eye clarity checks, and photo alignment. Camera data is processed on your device.
Photo Library access
Ayumi may ask for Photo Library access when you choose to save an exported video or GIF, or when you use local image import or setup workflows.
Ayumi only uses Photo Library access for features you choose to use.
Notifications
Ayumi may ask for notification permission so it can send an optional daily reminder at the time you choose.
You can change notification permissions at any time in iOS Settings.
Widgets
Ayumi shares limited local information with its Home Screen widgets so they can display your current streak, best streak, today’s status, and selected trophy.
Widget information is stored locally on your device.
In-app purchases
Ayumi may offer optional tip purchases through Apple’s in-app purchase system.
Purchases are processed by Apple. Ayumi does not receive your full payment card details.
Analytics and tracking
Ayumi does not track you across apps.
Ayumi does not require an account and does not sell your personal information.
Children’s privacy
Ayumi is not designed to collect personal information from children. The app does not require an account or ask users to create a public profile.
Data sharing
Ayumi does not sell your data.
Ayumi does not upload your photo history to an Ayumi server. If you choose to export or share a video, GIF, or image, that action is controlled by you through iOS sharing or saving features.
Deleting your data
You can delete photos and app data from inside Ayumi where deletion controls are provided.
You can also remove Ayumi and its local data from your device by deleting the app from iOS.
Changes to this policy
This privacy policy may be updated as Ayumi changes. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
